Last summer I was unemployed.
I decided, with the encouragement of the local milliner's, to apply for a small business grant. I registered my business and worked towards fall and winter markets. I rented studio space in a temporary gallery in the downtown of Barrie Ontario. That is where I painted for several months in the summer.
It was a good experience.
I have been working a 'mic' job since February and it is affecting my ability to focus on art and design. I need to paint.
I need to weave.
I am committing to half the hours I previously worked. I will weave. I will make accessories like, scarves, hand spun necklaces, bags, shawls, hand spun yarn, pillow shams, rag rugs, place Matta etc.
Anything I can warp with the materials I have on hand.
